Farmers Bank and Trust Company was chartered on September 6, 1906 in Columbia County, Arkansas. The oldest existing general ledgers indicate that the bank began with approximately $75,000 in assets. The primary business of the bank at the time was deposit services. Today, the bank has assets that exceed $625 million and offers a wide variety of products and services to serve the needs of the communities it serves. The bank is the oldest financial institution in Columbia County. Farmers Bank and Trust is an independent community bank and operates out of a one bank holding company, Magnolia Banking Corporation.
Being the oldest and most firmly established bank in the market, the bank has built a reputation of conservative soundness that has served it well. Through the years, our bank has enjoyed a reputation of strong integrity and honesty that has enabled the bank to gain increased market share in the local banking market.
Over the years, Farmers Bank & Trust has expanded beyond Columbia County. In addition to Columbia County, the bank has offices in Ouachita, Hot Spring and Saline Counties.
